Austin Cloninger Extern
Austin Cloninger is currently finishing his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Logan University and is completing his preceptorship at Fortitude Performance Chiropractic. He is passionate about helping people move better, feel stronger, and stay active for the long term. Austin’s path to chiropractic began after graduating from Brigham Young University with a degree in Middle Eastern Studies and serving in the U.S. Army. An injury that ended his military career gave him firsthand experience with the physical and mental challenges that can follow setbacks. Through that process, he saw how the right training, the right care, and the right community can make a lasting impact. His background in the military and lifelong involvement in strength training—as a coach, trainer, and athlete—shape his belief that movement is a powerful tool for both recovery and resilience. Austin begins with a thorough assessment to understand the root cause of pain or movement limitations. He focuses on identifying mobility restrictions, strength imbalances, and movement patterns that contribute to symptoms. His care integrates manual therapy, targeted corrective exercise, and progressive rehabilitation strategies to help patients not only feel better, but return to activity with greater confidence and capacity. He has pursued additional training in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), the McKenzie Method (MDT), Neurodynamics, Prescript resistance training principles, and Motion Palpation Institute (MPI). He values patient education and believes understanding your condition is a key part of achieving lasting results. Outside of the clinic, Austin prioritizes faith, family, and continued growth. He enjoys strength training, hiking and rucking, cooking food from around the world, learning languages, and pursuing challenges that keep him physically and mentally sharp. He looks forward to helping you reach your goals.
